I am not a woman of a certain age who believes that a certain age should bring about the certainty of predictability. I love clothing that presents as artistic, forgotten only to be remembered as a cosmic wormhole of memorial renaissance to some of the loveliest moments of memories. THAT is what this dress does for me. The fit is great, and the length is great, but to be honest, I would have found a workaround for either because when I saw it, I knew that I had to have it. It was the wrap-around porch of my childhood, the rosebud tree outside of my bedroom window, a provocation so rich with joy, steeped in remembrance of the creations of my amazing seamstress grandmother that it was the marriage of then and now. In short ( a little too late for that now) it is perfection.
